FH Connect Breakfast 04/20/2017
Featured Speaker: Senator John Kavanagh
SB1406-Public Accommodation; Services; Civil Action
On Wednesday, House Appropriations voted to advance the bill that combined key elements of two previously failed pieces of legislation to address concerns of both the business and disability community. The bill would require written notice and time to correct compliance issues, as under Kavanagh’s bill, but it would give businesses 30 days to comply, rather than 60 to 90. It would also limit the types of complaints to which the cure period applies.
Senator Kavanagh will give us on update on this legislation and take questions from the audience.
