Residents commemorate the horrific attack on our nation by the forces of the Imperial Japanese Navy and the sinking of our state's namesake Battleship that drew our county into WW II . USS Arizona BB 39 remains a war grave today at Pearl Harbor. We pay tribute to the victims and the survivors of that battle and to all veterans of WW II. Local Veterans' Service Organizations (VFW Post 7507, American Legion Post 58 and Marine Corps League Detachment 1439) all participate in the ceremony under the direction of VFW Post 7507. The ceremony commences at 10:55 which is the same as 7:55 Pearl Harbor time. All are welcome to pay their respects and to witness the moving ceremony. Ceremony moved to American Legion Post 58, 16837 Parkview Ave, due to expected rain.
