"Summer Beckman: Live In Concert"
Now 18 years old, award-winning Fountain Hills native Summer Beckman has been entertaining as a vocalist and actress since the age of 8. Some of Summer’s favorite performances were right here on the Fountain Hills Theater stages! FHT is beyond proud to host the premiere of Summer Beckman: Live in Concert. This one-woman, family-friendly, cabaret-style show features an impressive range of musical styles, as well as surprise guests, musical comedy, and more.
Prepare to be entertained! You’ll enjoy “Hollow,” by Tori Kelly; “World Burn, from Mean Girls the Musical, “Chacun le sait” from the opera, La fille du régiment, and so much more. Reigh Tuazon, lead vocalist of J.J.’s Band, will join Summer on the stage for some of their most-requested duets, including “The Prayer” by Andrea Bocelli. Expect to hear favorites from Kristin Chenoweth, as well as from award-winning Broadway musicals, She Loves Me, Dear Evan Hansen, and Pirates of Penzance, and more. Award-winning vocalists Kale Burr, and Grace Napoletano also have featured performances.
You may remember seeing Summer on stage as Roxie Hart in Chicago; Cinderella, in Into the Woods; Ariel in The Little Mermaid; Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde; Little Sally in Urinetown; May in Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells; and Annie in Annie. Summer participated in the 2018 Arizona Young Artists Competition at the Herberger Theater Center and was awarded the Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Best Overall Award, Audience’s Choice Winner, and Judge’s Choice Winner in the Musical Theater category. Summer has also received several ariZoni and National Youth Arts Award nominations, as well as wins for her portrayal of Annie in Annie, and May in Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells. Summer also won the 2019 National Youth Arts Senior Showcase Vocal Competition and was the 2nd place winner in the 2018 National Hal Leonard Vocal Competition.
