"Ladies: It's Time!" is an original musical play about Women's Suffrage in which you will meet thirteen of the original Suffragettes. Susan B. Anthony\, Elizabeth Cady Stanton\, Abigail Adams\, Lucy Stone\, Amelia Bloomer\, Sojourner Truth\, Julia Ward Howe\, Victoria Woodhull\, Clara Barton\, and others\, will share their stories about the movement that lasted 52 years.\n\n\nWhen women finally won the right to vote\, many of these remarkable women had passed on\, but they left an amazing legacy. Ken Burns and Geoff Ward wrote a book and a documentary "Not for Ourselves Alone" which was the inspiration for Peg Inglis' play. Peg\, who winters in Fountain Hills\, is a member of the American Association of University Women in her home state of New York\, and felt that the stories of these women cried out to be heard and sung throughout the land! Mrs. Inglis authored the play\, the songs' lyrics and music and will direct the cast of local talent in its upcoming production.\n\nThe Women's Ministry of Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church will host "Ladies: It's Time!" for its Spring Women's Get-Together on Saturday\, March 30\, 2019 at 4:00 P.M in the Church's Sanctuary\, followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall.
